Welcome to the new website and the official rebrand to Flux Fly Fishing. We’re stoked to finally share it with you.

We’re now just days away from the start of the season, and the excitement is building. It’s been a serious wet season up here with well over three metres of rain and with Tropical Cyclone Narelle tracking just south of Weipa, it left its mark in a big way. While the conditions have been wild, big wet seasons like this often set the stage for incredible fishing, flushing nutrients and bait into the system. All signs point to a season full of hungry fish.

Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be our biggest season yet. We’re incredibly grateful to be fully booked, with a mix of returning clients and plenty of new faces joining us on the water. The guide team has been hard at it over the past couple of months! Dialling in boat maintenance, scouting the usual haunts, and sneaking in a few sessions to see how things are shaping up out there.

We’ll keep this first post short, but this blog will be something we build on throughout the season. Expect monthly updates, stories from the water, and a look at what we’ve been getting up to behind the scenes.

We can’t wait to get things underway and share it all with you.
